RenaissanceRe’s third-quarter combined ratio fell by 6.4 points to 138.7% year-on-year, despite losses from Hurricane Ian and other Q3 natural catastrophes.

The casualty and specialty segment’s Q3 CoR improved 3.9 points from the prior-year quarter to 95.7%, while the property segment’s CoR deteriorated by 2.5
