Nephila assets drop $700mn after Ian in Q3

Nephila recorded an 8% drop in assets under management during Q3 to $7.8bn, as fronted gross Hurricane Ian losses taken by parent Markel reached $850mn.

These fronted losses may include losses borne by other third parties, with Markel’s own net Ian loss just $70mn.
