Operational Re raises $217.25mn of operational risk cat bond cover

The Bermuda vehicle Operational Re has issued $217.25mn of cat bond notes in its first such placement since April 2020.

These notes historically have provided reinsurance cover for operational risks to Credit Suisse.

The latest deal is a three-year transaction split across four tranches of notes, comprising $54.5mn
