IAG lifts core treaty attachment 50% as reinsurance expenses rise

IAG lifted the retention on its 2023 cat reinsurance programme significantly and has renewed quota shares with two of its three continental reinsurance partners, the carrier said in a stock exchange notice.

Its main treaty, which covers two events up to A$10bn ($6.87bn), now has an attachment point of A$500mn, double the A$250mn in 2022.
