Swiss Re has promoted Thorsten Steinmann to head of Northern, Central and Eastern Europe, effective from 1 January.

Steinmann will oversee Swiss Re’s P&C reinsurance operations spanning from Germany to Austria and Switzerland, across the Nordics, the Baltics, the Netherlands and Eastern Europe.
