Cerchia has raised CHF1.3mn ($1.4mn) in seed funding from lead investor High-Tech Grunderfonds (HTGF) and others to grow its direct risk transfer market on blockchain.

The Swiss fintech said its “new type of capital market platform” would create an “efficient, transparent and legally compliant solution for direct risk transfer between reinsurers and investors”.
