Aon: 2022 the fifth-costliest year on record for insured losses

Last year, which generated more than $132bn in insured losses, was the fifth costliest on record for carriers, according to Aon’s latest Weather, Climate and Catastrophe Insight.

The broker found that the insured-loss figure for 2022 was nearly 60% higher than the annual average over the 21st century.
