Axis Q4 fee income halves as specialty pivot continues

Axis Capital recorded fee income of $12mn in Q4, dropping away from $27mn earned in the prior-year period as it continued to rework its portfolio after exiting the cat reinsurance sector in mid-2022.

Full-year fee income of $52.7mn was down from $73.2mn.

Capital partners: The firm’s premiums ceded to strategic capital partners were up 23% year on year to $38.3mn.
