Average ILS returns reached 1.18% in January on the Eurekahedge ILS Advisers index, the second-strongest January return since the inception of the index in 2006.

ILS Advisers said results benefited from reserve releases connected to Hurricane Ian, as new information confirmed losses at the low end of the range, as well as higher rates as the market has hardened.
