Former CEO of Tokio Millennium Re (TMR) Tatsuhiko Hoshina is fundraising for a Bermuda (re)insurance underwriting venture to be called Fathom, with the aim of deploying into the hard market of 2023, sources told this publication.

Inver Re is understood to be assisting with the capital raise, which sources said would take a leaf out of Fidelis’ playbook in structuring itself into two parts, with separate rated balance sheet and MGA entities.
