Allstate reports pre-tax cat losses of $211mn in February

Allstate has disclosed pre-tax catastrophe losses of $211mn for February, resulting from nine events, primarily wind and rain, which were geographically widespread.

The total loss estimates for the month, at $241mn, was partially offset by favourable reserves.

The carrier reported $518mn in total pre-tax catastrophe losses for January and February.
