Lloyd’s property reinsurance delivered a £247mn underwriting profit in 2022, up by £193mn, as reserve releases from 2017 disaster events benefitted the segment.

GWP for property reinsurance was £7.7bn in 2022, up 4.9% on the previous year.

Property reinsurance overall reported an accident year ratio of 100.5%
