Lane Financial has argued that greater transparency, better disclosure and issuing all ILS as public securities would grow the ILS market, after it analysed ILS losses and found market inefficiencies.

The firm said more transparency would result in greater innovation with products such as swaps, options and other derivatives offered in the market, and a more open disclosure regime would stimulate market growth.
