Swiss Re has “appetite” to “capture additional opportunities” at 1 June and 1 July, at which point a further 25% of its reinsurance portfolio renews, according to CFO John Dacey.

This came as the reinsurer made an early release of reserves connected to Hurricane Ian, reflecting lower flood loss expectations.
