Allstate posts $799mn net cat loss for April

Allstate has posted net cat losses of $799mn for April, or $631mn before tax, relating to 12 events.

The loss for the month was $872mn before the impact of favourable reserve releases. Of this, 60% of losses came from two wind and hail events.
