Vermont captive Oak Tree Assurance is seeking to raise $100mn through an Acorn Re cat bond to provide cover against earthquakes.

The bond triggers on a parametric, per occurrence basis, covering earthquakes in California, Oregon, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona in the US.
