PCS Ian loss estimate inches up but remains sub-$50bn

PCS kept its Hurricane Ian insured loss figure under the key $50bn mark in its latest resurvey, sources said.

The industry loss aggregator released a loss estimate of $49.4bn in the past week, which has inched up only by around 1%, or $500mn, since the prior 2023 figure.
