Swiss Re has appointed Ali Shahkarami as global head of P&C solutions.

The executive joins from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), where he was chief data officer.

Shahkarami spent 11 years at AGCS, joining in 2012 as head of cat risk research.
