Cat bond new issuance hit $10.1bn in H1, with $6.9bn of this coming in Q2, in what has been a bumper year for cat bond deals so far, according to data from this publication.

Inflows of new capital to the cat bond segment has broadly kept pace with levels of demand from cedants, with multiples coming off their highs of late last year but staying above levels as of mid-year 2022.
