Insurance Australia Group (IAG) has lifted the retention on its third- and fourth-event fiscal year aggregate reinsurance covers, as well as renewing a major quota share deal at 1 July.

The carrier buys a main cat programme on a calendar year basis, which provides coverage for two events up to A$10bn ($6.6bn)
