The European Commission’s request for a review of UCITS-eligible products, including cat bonds, will shine a regulatory spotlight on an ILS segment that has won favour among investors in recent years, and has been growing strongly.

The UCITS cat bond fund universe has more than doubled in size over the past four years to assets under management (AuM) of $10.4bn
