Bain Capital Insurance, the insurance arm of Bain Capital, has closed its first private equity fund at $1.15bn, exceeding a target of $750mn.

The fund includes around $1bn in commitments from institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals, alongside contributions from Bain Capital employees.
