Perils ups Turkey-Syria earthquake loss pick 7% to 92.8bn Turkish lira

The earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria is now expected to cost insurers 92.8bn Turkish lira ($3.4bn), according to an update from loss aggregator Perils.

The latest figure is a 7% increase on the previous estimate the company published in May.

The Kahramanmaras earthquake struck along the Turkey-Syria border in February, causing disastrous property damage and loss of life in the region.
