TSR raises North Atlantic hurricane season forecast to above 30-year norm

Tropical Storm Risk (TSR) now anticipates the 2023 North Atlantic hurricane season to feature above-average activity, with warm sea waters expected to contribute to storm development.

The company said it expected hurricane activity to be 10% above the average between 1991 and 2020, raising its forecast from July, when it predicted activity close to the average.
