Suncorp recovers A$2.17bn, XoL treaty not triggered

Australian carrier Suncorp saw its reinsurance recoveries drop to A$2.17bn ($1.42bn) in its fiscal year to 30 June.

This compared with A$2.45bn of recoveries in fiscal 2022.

In total, nat cat events triggered A$1.26bn of losses for Suncorp during the year, A$97mn above the group’s allowance of A$1.16bn
