Hannover Re’s P&C re unit booked a 90.8% combined ratio for Q2, in a 1.7 percentage point improvement year on year, as the carrier saw large losses come within budget and improved prices and conditions that “continued undiminished”.

Underwriting: The P&C segment reported a net reinsurance service result, under the new IFRS 17 accounting standards, of EUR282.7mn
