Allstate posts $313mn cat loss for July wind and hail events

Allstate suffered an estimated pre-tax catastrophe loss of $313mn for the month of July from 18 events.

The personal lines firm said the events were primarily related to wind and hail events and caused losses of $349mn, although this was partially offset by favourable reserve estimates for prior events.
