Hurricane Hilary is expected to “rapidly” strengthen into a major hurricane later today, with wind gusts already having increased to near 110 mph, warned the National Hurricane Center on Thursday.

The advisory warned that additional strengthening is expected over the next day, potentially making it a Category 4 Hurricane.
