Severe convective storms caused strong winds, large hail and flash flooding in parts of the US and Canada between August 10 and August 15, with economic and insured losses likely in the hundreds of millions of dollars, according to Aon’s weekly cat report.

These storms, impacting areas stretching from the central US into southeast Canada, caused notable property damage, power outages, multiple injuries and one death.
