KCC estimates Idalia insured losses at $2.2bn

Karen Clark & Company (KCC) has estimated that insured losses from Hurricane Idalia will be close to $2.2bn, with the majority to incur from US wind and storm surge losses.

In addition, the modeling firm predicted that less than $5mn of insured losses will come from wind damage in the Caribbean.
