Exposure growth a bigger driver of hurricane loss than climate change: Inver Re

Exposure effects could have twice the impact on hurricane losses between now and 2030 than hazard effects due to climate change, according to a study by broker Inver Re.

Inver Re said hurricane risk can be broken down into the components of vulnerability, hazard and exposure, and that, at present, hazard and exposure would likely have the greater impact on hurricane risk.
