AM Best has assigned Hagerty Re a financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and a long-term issuer credit rating of a- (Excellent) following a $25mn fundraise in June.

AM Best said the ratings reflected Hagerty Re’s strong balance sheet, strong operating performance, neutral business profile and risk management.
