Stone Ridge makes $1bn in reinsurance profits in 2023

Stone Ridge’s CEO and founder Ross L. Stevens confirmed it made $1bn in reinsurance trading profits in 2023 on $1.7bn of catastrophe premium as of 29 December in his annual letter to investors.

The flagship reinsurance strategy delivered its best performance in its 10 year-life, up 45%, while the cat bond-index like strategy gained 21%.
