Howden seals $1.6bn TigerRisk deal to create post-consolidated landscape

Howden has signed a deal to acquire TigerRisk for $1.6bn in a transaction which will create a reinsurance broker with combined revenues of ~$300mn this year, this publication can reveal.

The deal, which will entirely cash out TigerRisk’s private equity backer Flexpoint Ford, values the business at around 18x Ebitda of $85mn-$90mn, underscoring the continued buoyancy of valuations for insurance fee businesses despite growing macro headwinds.
